You can delete a wall to create an open space, merge two rooms, or completely rethink your home layout!
- Select the wall you want to delete by clicking on it.
- Two options are available:
Option A: Use the action bar
- Click the delete icon (trash) in the action bar that appears below your cursor.
Option B: Use the keyboard (faster)
- Press the Delete or Backspace key on your keyboard.
And there you go! The wall disappears immediately from your plan. The space opens up and you can continue designing your home however you like.
Important notes:
- If you delete a wall by mistake, use the shortcut Ctrl + Z (or Cmd + Z on Mac) to undo the action. An "Undo" button is also available at the top of your screen.
- Deleting certain walls may affect your room structure.
- If you delete an exterior wall, the floor of your room may be removed. To prevent this, delete your wall then close the corresponding space using the "Draw a separator" tool ("Build" button on the left side of the screen).
- You can keep 2 different floor materials even after removing the wall that separated 2 rooms. This can be useful for example with an open-plan kitchen connected to a living room. To do this, divide your space with a room separator using the "Draw a separator" tool ("Build" button on the left side of the screen). This method also lets you name each space individually (for example "Kitchen" and "Living room").
